At Fluevog, we don’t just make shoes - we create wearable art that tells a story. As our Senior Footwear Developer, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes magician who turns wild sketches and creative visions into beautifully made, functional footwear.
You’ll work side by side with Fluevog's Design Director and design team to guide each style from "what if" to "wow." From picking materials and tweaking prototypes to making sure every sample fits like a dream, you’ll keep one foot in the creative world and the other firmly in the technical.
This role is perfect for someone who geeks out over construction details, loves collaborating with factory partners, and has proven experience excelling in the the nitty gritty universe of timelines, revisions, and testing. You’ll help make sure every Fluevog shoe not only looks amazing, but also feels great and stands up to real life.
If you are equal parts left brain and right brain, and your idea of fun involves fit trials, tech packs, and a little bit of shoe drama, we would love to hear from you!

About Fluevog Shoes
John Fluevog is an independent designer and retailer of forward-thinking footwear and accessories. Since 1970, John has been steadfast in creating ‘unique soles for unique souls’ that have been seen everywhere from the feet of artists like Madonna, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Jack White, to the runways of high fashion. Some of his earliest customers include The Beach Boys, Alice Cooper, filmmaker Robert Altman, and a slew of slightly less famous (but no less amazing) Fluevogers.
Traditionally made in old-world factories, Fluevog shoes are produced in small runs, are fully repairable, and—with their quality and timeless luxury—always stand out in a crowd. When you wear a pair of Fluevogs, you’re stepping into decades of traditionally crafted untraditional designs.
As you soak up the steady flow of comfort, confidence, and compliments, you’ll quickly begin to wonder what you ever did without Fluevogs on your feet. Whether it sticks in your mind as Foofarg or Vlueflag, Fluevog is a name usually mispronounced, but seldom forgotten.
